It is our desire for every woman at Richardson East to find a place where they can both grow and serve.  The women's ministry wants to assist in this endeavor by providing opportunities to connect with one another, to grow in our faith through study, and to provide an environment that encourages outward service to others.

The following describes the opportunities the women's ministry strives to provide.  Please take a few minutes to look over the information, decide what areas might interest you, and ask God where He would like you to be involved.  We are truly glad you are here and invite you to join us in our mission to glorify God through encouraging relationships and Christ-like service to others.

Welcome!

Times for Renewal

Biannual Ladies' Day
We want to offer this local retreat for those women who cannot devote a complete weekend away from their regular routine.

Annual Retreat
The ladies' retreat is a time honored tradition that provides RE women with the opportunity for rest, study and fellowship.  This retreat is a two night weekend out of town so women truly have the chance to focus on God and each other.

This class is for anyone desiring to understand the Bible better from those seeking to know God, to new believers, to veterans of the faith, and all those in between.  The class is using "The Amazing Collection" currculum.  You are encouraged to attend any time you can.  Any or all sessions!  Come join us as we encourage one another in our faith and grow in our friendships.  LBC is a great way to meet and make new friends as well as deepen the ones already in place!  Class time is from 9:15-11:00 on the second floor of the education wing. For questions, contact Lori.

Sisters in Service

Food Helping Team
Contact: WMST
This group coordinates the many food needs of our congregation through the use of email and phone calls.

Easter Baskets
Each year the women of RE coordinate the effort to provide approximately 100 children who spend the Easter holiday in Medical City, Dallas with fun age-appropriate baskets.

Newborns in Need
Contact: Patria Davis or Becky Campbell
This group sews, crochets, knits or simply shops to provide necessary items to the babies at Parkland Hospital whose number of newborns is greater than any other hospital in the country.

New Friends, New Life
Contact: Maria Kell
There are a variety of ways to serve with this group based out of Preston Road Church of Christ.  One of the ways that RE women and others have served in the past is by being a docent during the annual Holiday Home Tour.  Additional opportunities can be found either by contacting Maria or on www.newfriendsnewlife.org.

Besides these activities, RE women are constantly finding ways to serve and fellowship with each other.  Weddings and babies are celebrated with showers.  Conferences, such as the Women of Faith, are attended each year.  Meals are provided for births, deaths and illnesses.  Opportunities abound to teach both children and adults.  Group fellowship is encouraged through "dinner clubs" and "bunko" groups.
