The Richardson East Youth Group (REYG) is a group of 7th through 12th grade students along with our amazing adult volunteers & youth workers. We are all broken, sinful, and rejected by the world -- but redeemed, forgiven, and chosen by our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. We don't claim to have all the answers or know all the facts, yet we understand that our existence is due to both Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and his triumphant return leaving the tomb empty! Therefore, we strive to be real with each other and share this awesome story of love with our family, friends, teachers, and other individuals that cross our path.
This Youth Group understands the importance of being together and building up one another just as the Bible challenges us to. Our weekly routine includes meeting together on Sunday mornings (9:00 AM class in the The Cove), Sunday evenings (S.W.A.G. from 5:30-7:30 PM at the building), and Wednesday evenings (6:45-7:45 PM in The Cove). Plus, we take advantage of our free time during the summers to serve people throughout our local community, our country, and the world while going on amazing life changing mission trips, local service days and by having tons of fun just hanging out.
The REYG finds it important to share the same mission as our CARE Church family: Sharing Christ, Loving Others, Changing Lives. We believe these three objectives help us remember and live out the greatest commandments taught by Jesus: love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.
